Course 9 — Service, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

This Level 3 course is for service technicians who already know the refrigeration cycle and heat pump components. After it you will be able to: (1) plan and record preventive maintenance for air-source and water-source heat pumps; (2) clean coils, descale plate heat exchangers and control water quality; (3) follow a systematic method to find faults, including high-pressure and low-pressure trips; and (4) trace compressor, leak, electrical and control faults to their root cause.
