How much land does a ground loop need?
It depends entirely on the load, the soil and whether you go horizontal or vertical. Horizontal loops need area; vertical boreholes need depth but very little footprint. This is a site-specific design and we survey before quoting.
Why is it more efficient than air source?
Because the source barely changes. An air-source machine faces 5 °C air on the coldest morning of the year; a ground loop faces roughly the same temperature in January as in June, which is when you need the heat most.
When will full data be available?
Geothermal installations are designed per site rather than selected from a table. Talk to us with your load and your site and we will work it out.
