This is a Level 1 Foundations course for everyone: technicians, engineers, sales staff, consultants and curious owners. No prior refrigeration knowledge is needed. After this course you will be able to:

explain in plain words how a heat pump moves heat from a cold place to a warm place;
name every main part of the refrigerant circuit and say what it does;
read a pressure–enthalpy (P-h) diagram and estimate COP from it;
explain why COP falls as temperature lift rises, and why air-source units need defrost.
