How certification works
Four steps to certification
- Learn: complete the free courses listed below.
- Online exam: 40 questions drawn from those courses.
- Practical assessment: real tasks at the Sunniva factory or on a site, scored by a Sunniva assessor.
- Certificate: a numbered Sunniva certificate when your overall score is 70% or more.
- Online exam: 50% of the final result
- Practical assessment at the Sunniva factory or on site: 50% of the final result
- Pass mark: 70% overall
- Fee: free for Sunniva dealers and associates; INR 50,000 for everyone else
- Validity: 3 years, subject to performance

- Course 1 — Heat, Energy and Refrigeration Basics
- Course 2 — How a Heat Pump Works
- Course 3 — Types of Heat Pumps
- Course 7 — Installation Practice
- Course 8 — Commissioning and Performance Testing
- Course 9 — Service, Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Course 10 — Safety, Refrigerants and Standards
Your final result = 50% × online exam score + 50% × practical score. Example: 66% online and 80% practical gives 73%, a pass.
