HVAC Technician

Job description:

The HVAC Technician will assist in the assembly, testing, quality inspection, and basic troubleshooting of heat pump units (R410a refrigerant systems) on the production line. This entry-level role supports manufacturing efficiency and product quality under senior supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components of heat pumps (compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, pumps, valves, sensors, control boards) following engineering drawings, BOMs, and SOPs.​
• Perform basic brazing (copper piping), wiring terminations, insulation application, and sub-assembly tasks using hand tools and power equipment.
• Conduct pre-assembly checks, pressure/leak testing, vacuuming, and functional testing of units before final packaging.​
• Support quality control: inspect for defects, record test data (pressure, electrical, performance), and tag non-conformities for rework.​
• Maintain workstation cleanliness, inventory parts, and update production records.​
• Follow safety protocols (PPE, machine guarding, chemical handling) and assist in line setup/changeovers.

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & AC, Mechanical, Electrical, or Fitter trade.
• 0–1 year experience in assembly/testing (freshers with technical aptitude welcome).
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration cycle, brazing, electrical wiring, and hand tools (drill, torque wrench, multimeter). Training provided on heat pumps.​
• Ability to read simple drawings/BOMs and work in a fast-paced factory environment (8-hour shifts, possible overtime).
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with refrigerants (R410a/R134a/R32/R290) and basic testing equipment.
• Team player with positive attitude for on-the-job learning.​
